Wicked Worship

Based on the hit Broadway musical/movie, this worship service features performances of songs from “Wicked” followed by members of the local theatre and arts community, and some folks from The Gathering Place.

After each song, Pastor Amy offers a brief spiritual reflection connecting the story of Elphaba the “wicked” witch to the ministry and life of Jesus. Our conceptions of good and evil get challenged when we examine the way Jesus did ministry with those he wasn’t supposed to and how we was a threat to imperial Rome.
